SURFACE PREPARATION<\/strong><\/span>

\nNew Surfaces<\/span><\/em> – Smooth new surfaces, removing any loose sand & mortar splashes manually or mechanically. If surface is uneven or rough use one or two coats of Berger Unoshield after surface was weathered, for a minimum of 14 days then prime with one coat of Berger Alkali Sealer. Allow to dry for recommended drying time. Apply two coats of Berger Ro\u00ffale Luxury Low Sheen Emulsion. Berger ALD Primer, Berger Contractor Primer or Berger Grip & Seal can be used if the surface has been weathered for at least 30 days Note: These are estimated curing times when coating the new concrete, if the concrete mixture is excessively alkaline or prolonged high relative humidity of >75% exists, an additional two weeks should be allowed before coating. Allow overnight drying if using Berger Solvent Based Alkali Sealer Previously Painted Surfaces Ensure surface is clean, dry and free from dust, grease, algae, dirt and all other contaminants. Treat fungal or mould growth by scrubbing or power washing with Berger Biocidal Solution. Rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Use Berger Sanding Sealer prior to application of Berger Wood Primer Undercoat or Berger Grip & Seal. Allow the recommended time for drying. Apply two coats of Berger Ro\u00ffale Luxury Low Sheen Emulsion Previously Painted Surfaces Ensure that dirt, stains, loose material and contaminants etc are removed. If the surface is cracking or peeling, remove the loose material by scraping. Thoroughly dust to ensure a clean surface. Treat any fungal or mould growth with Berger Biocidal Solution. METAL SURFACES<\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nIron & Steel should be thoroughly cleaned to remove all oil, grease, rust, scale and moisture. Prime metal with a suitable Berger Metal Primer, such as Berger Grip & Seal or Berger Zinc<\/span> Chromate Primer. Apply two coats of Berger Ro\u00ffale Luxury Low Sheen Emulsion Aluminum & Zinc should be degreased and etched with Berger Self Etch Primer.
