It was tradition to stain wooden ceilings dark browns but that is no longer the case. Paint can be used to transform any space and the ceiling is not to be forgotten. Ceilings painted in pastel shades such as Berger Jade Isle or Penta Frosted Lime reflect light and keep the space airy and open.

Painting both the ceiling and the walls in the same colour as Berger 8404 Jade Isle or Sissons Apple White gives the illusion of height. Painting a ceiling in medium tones or shades such as Berger 7934 Grains of Sand, Sissons Corn or Penta Savannah Dust l can draw in high cathedral ceilings giving a warmer and cosier feel.

Paint can also be used to highlight beams and other architectural features in ceilings. Bright, vibrant colours like Berger 7742 Burst of Lime**, Sissons Caribbean Green or even Penta Aquamarine can be used in modern schemes to highlight these areas.
