Berger Magicote Gloss Oil

Berger Magicote Gloss Oil Base Paint is ideal for interior uses where a high quantity gloss paint with excellent colour and gloss retention, as well as superior durability for the interior. It is formulated with green raw materials to resist microorganism such as mold and fungus. It is free of lead and mercury.

SURFACE PREPARATION
WOOD, FIBRE BOARD, PLY BOARD – The wood should be low in moisture (below 15%). Sand all surfaces to a smooth finish. Use Berger Sanding Sealer on the bare wood if it is to be top coated with a varnish.
Use Berger Wood Primer undercoat on the bare wood if the wood is to be top coated with Berger Magicote Gloss Oil.

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES – Ensure that dirt, stains, loose material and contaminants etc are removed. If the surface is cracking or peeling, remove loose material by scraping, sanding; glossy surfaces should be abraded. Thoroughly dust to ensure a clean surface. Treat any fungal growth with Berger Biocidal Solution and wash/wipe substrate thoroughly then apply Biocidal Solution again but leave on the substrate before priming. Apply one coat of Berger Undercoat Wood Primer or Berger Alkali Sealer, allow to dry as recommended. Apply two coats of Berger Magicote Gloss Oil.

GYPSUM – Sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust. Apply one coat of Berger Alkali Sealer to seal surface, allowing the recommended time for drying. Apply two coats of Berger Magicote Gloss Oil.

APPLICATION DATA	Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying. Do not apply when humidity exceeds 95% and condensation is likely. Use up to 250mls of Berger Reducer #2 for thinning if necessary for ease of application. Brush or Roller : Apply an even coat taking care to avoid runs and sags Spray : Use conventional spray equipment, thin 0 – 5%, Tip 1.2-1.5mm : Air less pressure = 1800 psi thin 0 – %, Tip 0.38 – 0.48mm
