Penta Emulsion Primer is formulated on a tough Acrylic Emulsion Resin, which makes it an effective yet economical primer for use on newly constructed masonry walls and ceilings, hardboard, chip board, celotex and other wall boards.
RECOMMENDED USES:
Priming of concrete and clay blockwork, cement rendered walls and ceilings. Also for interior use only, for priming of nonfire retardant treated fibre-building boards, most chipboards, gypsum plaster and wallboard. For best durability, it is not

SURFACE PREPARATION
NEW AND UNPAINTED: Ensure that surfaces are dry and cleaned free of all dirt, dust, grease, oil, wax, form oils, parting compounds, fungal and algal growths, and other debris and contaminants.
MASONRY: Ensure that the surfaces have thoroughly dried out, allowing cement-rendered surfaces and cementmortar pointing to cure for 4 weeks, and poured concrete for 8 weeks. Fill any surface defects (holes, cracks, crevices etc.) with an appropriate masonry filler. Rub down with rubbing stone/brick to remove all loose particles.
CHIPBOARD: Most unprimed/unsealed chipboards, except maybe for single layer, open-surface chipboards, can be directly primed with Penta Emulsion Primer White. Single layer, open surface chipboards may require sanding and overall filling with oil or water-based fillers if a high standard of finish is required, but the surface must be primed first with an oil-based primer such as Penta Wood Primer Undercoat.
PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACES: Remove all loose, flaking, peeling, and semi-adherent paint, sanding to a feather-edge where necessary, to obtain a clean, firm, sound surface. Fill surfacedefects as for new surfaces. Rub down smooth glossy surfaces.
